Huron, South Dakota – July 23, 2024 Dakotaland Federal Credit Union was recently approved for a Field of Membership Expansion by the National Credit Union Association and voted in by its local Board of Directors, who collaboratively direct the safety and soundness of Dakotaland. “This is substantial news for the credit union as this community charter expansion allows us to bring our products and services, which we currently offer to those in 27 South Dakota counties, to the residents in an additional 24 counties. Our team members are excited to share the unique Dakotaland experience with these new communities and potential members,” shared Chief Executive Officer, Ryan Goehner.
As a full-service financial cooperative, a field of membership is the definition of who is eligible to join the credit union.
