Veteran Mortgage Loan Officer, Melinda Riley has recently joined the Aberdeen Branch of Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. As an Aberdeen native, Riley has earned nearly 22 years of credit union experience serving the Hub City. “Our continued growth in Aberdeen has given us the opportunity to welcome Melinda to our Dakotaland family. It has proven to be an excellent opportunity to showcase her extensive lending experience and excellent member service skills in our mortgage department.” commented Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Sarah Senska.

Melinda started her credit union career at Aberdeen Federal Credit Union as a teller and eventually moved into the mortgage department. With 16 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Melinda acknowledges every story is different and she is grateful to continue making a difference through the uniqueness of the credit union. “What I do changes people’s lives. No matter what stage of life people are in, I can help.” shared Riley. Melinda admits she is fortunate to be able to do something she enjoys in a place she loves.

The newest addition to the Aberdeen staff is a fan of the outdoors and actually refers to yardwork and mowing as her ‘happy place’. Family is an important part of Melinda’s life and she welcomes the visits from her two grown children, Allyson and Garrett. An affectionate 90 pound German Shepherd by the name of Mya is also a noteworthy member of the family. When the weather turns cold, Melinda can be found binge watching crime shows and putting together puzzles.
