Madison, South Dakota  -  December 1, 2023   Ms. Erica Clements accepted a leadership role at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union as Branch Manager, joining the seven staff member team at the Madison location. Clements comes from a strong background of not-for-profit experience but has a particular passion for credit unions and what the cooperative movement can do for others. “Dakotaland is very fortunate to have captured the experience and energy Erica brings to our team. We are excited to share in her commitment to the Madison community,” stated Chief Growth Officer, Chad Moller.

Erica is a west river girl by birth, growing up in Bison, South Dakota, but has spent the last 15 years loving her life in Madison. Graduating from Black Hills State University in Spearfish with a double bachelor’s degree in public relations and communications, she admits she has a special place in her heart for academics. Upon joining the workforce on a full-time basis, Clements went on to secure a master’s degree in strategic leadership. In addition to her degrees, Erica gained a Credit Union Development Educator certification from the National Credit Union Foundation and is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor as well.

Ms. Clements most recently held the position of Marketing Specialist at East River Federal Credit Union in Madison and chose to stay involved in the credit union movement by joining the team at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. "I get to contribute to something that can help so many people and it feels good to be in a career that I know is there to aid people in our community,” stated Erica. Whether it is a car loan, buying a home, financial counseling or investing in the future, Clements believes everyone at the credit union is here to help others solve problems and achieve their goals. “It’s a culture where there is a priority on coming together to assist those that have a need which shows a deep commitment to improving our members lives through financial security, which in turn helps our communities,” added Clements.

On a personal note, Erica is happily raising her two kids: daughter, Elliot (14) and son, Rylan (10). Along with her life partner, Jack, they have a Cardigan Corgi named Gracie, and two cats: George and Zara. In her free time, Dakotaland’s new Branch Manager, enjoys crafting, reading books, being outdoors in the warm months and taking walks with her kids. Erica is a proud blood donor and as fan of the classroom, she is a volunteer instructor for Junior Achievement. She also confesses to being a very avid listener of true crime podcasts.
