Rachel Dix of Aberdeen, SD earns a seat on the Board of Directors of Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. Dix fills a vacancy on the volunteer board, which is composed of six other members from across the credit union’s 27 county service area. “Rachel is a welcomed addition to our board. Her involvement and passion with which she serves the Aberdeen and surrounding communities is tremendous. Her talents will only add to our already dedicated team of directors,” commented Ryan Goehner, President and CEO of Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. 

Rachel Dix is a graduate of Presentation College of Aberdeen, SD where she earned her bachelor of science in Management and minor in Finance. As the Home Ownership Coordinator for Homes Are Possible, Inc., she teaches homebuyer education sessions that promotes home ownership in north eastern South Dakota. Rachel’s energetic nature and love of learning is shared during her interactive sessions.

Additionally, Rachel is the Executive Officer for the Aberdeen Home Builders Association, and she enjoys meeting and collaborating with individuals and businesses across the state. She is an active community member who supports the growth of north eastern South Dakota. In this position, Rachel has attended and hosted multiple meetings with city, state and national delegations. She was awarded the National Association of Home Builders’ 2019 Small Office Honor, and most recently was appointed as the Executive Officer Liaison for the NAHB Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce.

She is very active in her local community, but also helps people across the state with assistance and education programs. As an active member of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, Dix works closely with the Community Affairs Committee and was awarded the Chamber’s 2020 Emerging Leader Award. She is also a member of the Aberdeen Area Realtors Association promoting homeownership. She and her husband, Nathan, reside in Aberdeen with their fur-children. Rachel’s hobbies are hunting, fishing and hiking with her dogs.
