Redfield, South Dakota - December 18, 2023 Ms. Macy Stover has taken the Branch Manager’s chair at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union in Redfield. Past Manager, Ms. Sandy Lien is preparing for a much deserved retirement. Sandy will make December 29th, 2023 her last official day in the office as Macy looks forward to a new year of service to the credit union membership in 2024. “The culture within Dakotaland is unlike any other and runs deep with dedication and pride in what we do. I am incredibly fortunate to be joining the Redfield team and greatly appreciate the support I have received from Sandy as she celebrates the transition to her next chapter,” stated Stover.
Macy claims her new career with Dakotaland provides her the opportunity to serve her community, create solid and trustworthy relationships with her members, while learning ways to deepen their Redfield roots. “I am an inquisitive person by nature, and always enjoy learning something new. At DFCU, I am fortunate enough to continue to grow my knowledge of our credit union and all that it takes to best serve our members,” shared Stover.
Stover is originally from Groton, SD and comes from a farming family (Knecht Farms) in the Houghton Area. Macy attended Groton High School and graduated college from South Dakota State University in Brookings. She has now lived in Redfield for over 3 years. Macy is a newlywed of 6 months sharing her life with her husband, Kyle Stover. Kyle and Macy are the proud parents of two dogs, Sunny (golden retriever) and Cleo (golden retriever/border collie mix). Macy enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, reading, and watching a good crime documentary. She also finds satisfaction in doing home improvement projects and interior design.
Macy joined the Credit Union in August of 2023 and considers it a great honor to be a part of the Dakotaland family. Stover claims there is a true sense of togetherness that extends across all branch locations, and make it known they are willing to do whatever it takes to help each other, and the members, succeed. “I am excited for the opportunity to work with Ms. Stover and see her grow and build from the solid foundation which has been established in the Redfield community. Macy has a genuine personality and brings a great perspective to our credit union,” shared Chief Growth Officer, Chad Moller.
In addition, the community is invited to an all-day Retirement Open House at the Redfield Branch location at 509 N. Main Street on Friday, December 29th to celebrate the successful career and retirement plans for Sandy Lien.
