Aberdeen Ground Breaking with Gold Shovels

New Digs

Dakotaland Federal Credit Union hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, July 19th on their new location at 224 6th Avenue SE in Aberdeen. Dakotaland CEO, Ryan Goehner, along with credit union board members and staff, announced a 11,000 sq ft, 2 story layout with a drive up and Advantage ATM services. HTG Architects, a Credit Union League (DackCU) associate, is their design partner and Quest Construction of Aberdeen is the general manager of the project. Dirt work will begin in August with an anticipated early 2023 summer completion date.

United Way/Huron Young Leadership Council Check Presentation

On behalf of the Dakotaland Membership, the Huron Staff presented the Heartland United Way with over $800. These funds were generated from a free will donation collected during this year's Memberfest and were used to kick off the United Way's annual fundraising efforts.

Dakotaland recently hosted Member Fest in conjunction with the annual meeting on June 8th in Huron. This year was the first year we hosted the Member Fest and Annual meeting together at the new administration building, and the event was a great success with fun had by all.

Volga Member Fest Recap

The Dakotaland branch in Volga recently hosted their Member fest family picnic on June 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm. Roughly 140 members attended the event and stayed the duration of the night. We served a free meal, and the menu consisted of pork sandwiches, a bag of chips, and a cookie catered by The Valley in Volga. We also offered members free snow cones and the chance to register and win prizes at the event as well. It was the windiest Member fest, but we made the most of it and were very pleased with the turn out. Thank you to all who attended. We appreciate business and membership at Dakotaland FCU!

Madison Member Fest Recap

The Dakotaland Branch in Madison recently hosted their Member Fest family picnic on Wednesday, June 22 from 5:00-7:00pm. The evening was warm, but cooled off by the end of the event. We had a great turn out with nearly 175 members of all ages attending, and served pork sandwiches from Dakota Butcher, cookies, chips and free snow cones. In addition to a free meal, the branch staff offered face painting, corn hole, a bouncy house and a chance to register and win prizes. The Madison Chamber of Commerce stopped by to help publicize the event and we’re excited to see how this event progresses in the years to come. Thank you to all members who attended.
